The Spiritual Exercises 2007 A portfolio of seven lithographs executed by Luc Tuymans at the workshop of Edition Copenhagen from 7 – 10 May 2007, with the assistance of Master Printer Rasmus Urwald, aided by June Rehak and Peer Carstensen. All of the lithographs were drawn by the artist and printed from stone. The total edition comprises 50 portfolios each contained in a dark blue linen-covered case: 50 portfolios are numbered from 1/50 to 50/50 5 artist proof portfolios are annotated and numbered “E.A. 1/5 – E.A. 5/5” 5 hors commerce portfolios are annotated and numbered “H.C. 1/5 – H.C. 5/5” 1 archive portfolio is inscribed “Archive” and is not for sale This portfolio was conceived as one work in seven parts therefore the artist has utilized a single signature page that is contained herein.That page is signed, dated and numbered in pencil by the artist. Each lithograph in the portfolio is numbered in pencil on the reverse. In addition, each print is inscribed with an ordering number in Arabic numerals in pencil on the reverse. All of the lithographs have been printed on Velin d´Arches hand-made paper measuring 69 x 56 cm (27 3/16 x 22 inches)
